County athletes earn volleyball honors

Seven Marion County volleyball athletes representing Canton-Galva, Centre, Goessel and Peabody-Burns have received recognition from Wheat State League coaches.

Two members of Canton-Galva’s 16-18 team received recognition. Senior Tia Moddelmog was named to the first team, while senior Jayci Mastre received honorable mention honors.

Two members of Centre’s 7-19 team received honors as juniors Alyssa Espinoza and Samantha Espinoza were named to the first team.

Two members of Goessel’s 19-19 team received recognition. Sophomore Kaleigh Guhr was named to the first team, while junior Raechel Boese received honorable mention honors.

Representing Peabody-Burns’ 10-17 team, sophomore Mya Winter received honorable mention recognition.
