Wray leads TC track effort at nationals

The Tabor College track and field season ended at the NAIA national outdoor track meet with a particularly solid showing in the field events.

Breanna Wray led the way, placing 13th in the women?s hammer throw (146 feet, 10 inches) and 16th in the shot put (39-101⁄2).

Dana Champlin placed 16th in the javelin with a throw of 117-5.

For the men, Adam Dirks placed 19th with a throw of 162-1 in the javelin.

Goessel High School alum Garrett Hiebert, throwing for Bethel College, placed sixth nationally in javelin at 194-7.

Tabor did not get out of the preliminary round in any of the track events.

The 4×400 meter relay placed 20th with a time of 3 minutes, 59.40 seconds. The 4×800 relay placed eighth in the prelims with a time of 9:26.79.
