Worley named head athletic trainer at TC

Katrina Worley has been appointed head athletic trainer at Tabor College, effective in July.

Worley comes to Tabor from Doane College in Crete, Neb., with 15 years of experience in athletic training and instruction at collegiate and high school levels.

“My goal is to create an atmosphere of health and wellness in which athletes know they are going to receive the best care to get back out on the field or court quickly and safely,” Worley said.

“I enjoy working with athletes to help them achieve their peak health physically and spiritually. As Tabor’s athletic trainer, I have an opportunity to be a mentor to student athletes and future athletic trainers.”

Prior to working at Doane, Worley was an athletic trainer for Fellowship of Christian Athletes summer camps and as a trainer at several sports medicine clinics.

She has a bachelor of arts in athletic training and physical education from Anderson University and an master of education in health and physical education from Columbus State University.

Worley is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross.

“Katrina’s level of skill and experience with a wide variety of sports makes her an ideal choice for Tabor,” said Rusty Allen, vice president of enrollment management and athletics

“It is clear that Katrina has a heart for athletes,” he added. “She has a deep desire to see them not only reach their competitive goals, but to see them come to know and grow in relationship to Christ.”
