Alyssa Windle represented Tabor College at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships last week in Johnson City, Tenn.
Windle placed 10th in the shot put with a throw of 43 feet, 81⁄2 inches. She missed qualifying for the finals by 1 centimeter.
“(Alyssa) competed really hard, prepared very well and represented Tabor College in an exemplary way,” coach Dave Kroeker said. “She will now turn her attention to the outdoor season, where she hopes to improve her nationals performance and also qualify in the discus and possibly in the hammer.”
Windle recorded her best mark of the season in the KCAC championships. Her first-place throw of 46-71⁄2 set new conference meet and Tabor records.
Coming—Tabor will start the outdoor season March 16 at Southwestern.
