Topham is All-American

Peabody?s Andrew Topham placed 27th out of 331 runners Saturday.

Andrew Topham earned the honor of being an NAIA All-American cross country runner by placing 27th at the NAIA national cross country meet in Kenosha, Wis., Saturday.

Topham, of Peabody, ran the race in 25 minutes 10 seconds, and was one of only six sophomores to place in the top 30. Justin Garrard (26:32), a Centre graduate, placed 154th.

For the women, Kate Topham (130th, 19:15) earned recognition as an NAIA scholar-athlete.

Tabor?s Christina Addison turned in a time of 19:57 and placed 230th. Four members of the Bluejay women?s team earned scholar-athlete recognition: Leah Kopper, Kelli Kopper, Carrie Schroeder and Jera Teselle.

Men?s runners Ric Johnson and Zac Remboldt earned the same honor.
