TC women’s soccer sweeps two games

The Tabor College women’s soccer team won two KCAC matches last week to improve to 4-2 in conference play.

York—Tabor earned its second 1-0 victory of the week by defeating the Panthers in overtime Saturday. Brenna Cooper scored the game-winning goal in the 94th minute of play off a corner kick.

The Bluejays outshot York, 18-5, and held a 12-1 advantage in shots on goal. Goalkeeper Carly Rowan had one save.

Sterling—Tabor defeated the Warriors, 1-0, Wednesday. Grace Simpson kicked in the game-winner off an assist by Darrian Gonzalez in the 56th minute.

The Bluejays outshot Sterling, 8-6, and held a 2-1 advantage in shots on goal. Goalkeeper Carly Rowan had one save.

Coming—Tabor (4-2, 8-5) will play at Friends (5-2, 8-6) tonight at 6 p.m. and will host Bethel (0-6, 3-9) Saturday at 6 p.m.
