TC women?s soccer records pair of ties

Two games ended in double overtime ties last week for the Tabor College women?s soccer team.

After tying with Southwestern earlier in the week, Tabor recorded a scoreless tie with the University of Saint Mary Saturday.

Tabor held a 14-13 advantage in shots, but Saint Mary held the advantage in shots on goal, 12-11.

Goalkeeper Carly Rowan had 11 saves.

Southwestern?Tabor kicked off KCAC play with a 1-1 tie in double overtime Wednesday.

The Moundbuilders scored off a corner kick in the eighth minute of play, but the Bluejays responded with the tying goal in the 22nd minute when Nicole Stevenson found the back of the net off an assist from Hayley Stovall.

Neither team scored again through two overtime periods. Southwestern outshot Tabor, 19-11, including 8-3 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Carly Rowan had seven saves.

Coming?Tabor (0-0-2, 2-5-2) will travel to McPherson (0-1, 4-4) tonight for a 6:30 p.m. game. The Bluejays will host Bethany (1-0-1, 3-4-3) Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
