The 2016 women’s soccer all-conference honorees have been released by KCAC coaches with six members of Tabor College’s 11-9 team represented.
Two Bluejays received second-team recognition.
Forward Dakota Spencer was named Freshman of the Year and was a second-team pick. She led Tabor in goals (12), shots (58) and shots on goal (34). Spencer ranked 42nd nationally in game-winning goals (4) and 45th in game-winning goals per game (0.24). She ranked fifth in the KCAC in goals per game (0.71), shots on goal per game (2) and game-winning goals per game.
Senior midfielder Spring Jones also received second-team honors. She scored one goal and took seven shots, including four shots on goal.
Four Bluejays received honorable mention: junior Courtney Yochum, freshman Hannah Armand, junior Jordan Walters and senior Nicole Decker.
Yochum, a defender/midfielder, led Tabor in assists (5). She scored three goals and took 34 shots, including 13 shots on goal.
Armand, a midfielder, scored one goal and took 23 shots, including 11 shots on goal.
Walters anchored the Bluejay defense.
Decker, a first-year forward on the team, took 14 shots, including four shots on goal.
Tabor’s season ended with a 5-0 loss to Kansas Wesleyan in the KCAC tournament semifinals.
