TC women grab first win at JBU

The Tabor women?s basketball team picked up its first win last week during the John Brown University Classic Friday and Satur?day.
Tabor defeated 10th-ranked College of the Ozarks, 65-62, Friday. The Bluejays led, 25-21, at halftime.
Nikki Lewis led Tabor with 15 points. Tonisha Dean added 13 points and Kaleigh Troxell 10.
The Bluejays shot nearly 49 percent from the field, while College of the Ozarks made just under 43 percent.
Tabor followed with a 78-58 loss to host John Brown Saturday. The Bluejays trailed by eight at halftime, 35-27.
Janelle Rust led the Bluejays with a game-high 22 points.
Tabor shot just over 35 percent from the field, compared to nearly 53 percent for John Brown.
The Bluejays are now 1-5 for the season.
Coming?Tabor was scheduled to play at Emporia State Monday.
The Bluejays will participate in the Warrior Classic at Sterling College Friday and Saturday. Tabor will open against Haskell Indian Nations Friday at 2 p.m. and then will face York Saturday, also at 2 p.m.
