The Tabor College track and field team had a successful outing at the Hutch Night Relays Saturday with seven first-place finishes.
?We had a number of winners of events,? coach Dave Kroeker said. ?All in all it was a pretty good day.?
For the men?s team, Alex Grier won the 100-meter dash in a national-qualifying 10.73 seconds; Caleb Blue won the 400-meter dash (49.76); and Garrett Daugherty won the 1,500 (4:06.45).
The Tabor men had three second-place finishers:?the distance medley (10:50.47); Tyler Entz in the high jump (6-0); and Robert Nenadal in the hammer (141-10).
Bret Mueller placed third in the 800 (1:59.53), while the 4×100-meter relay (weight) placed third in 53.77 (David Loewen, Daniel Quiring, Matt Richert, Robert Nenadal).
The Bluejay women turned in four first-place finishes.
Brielle Lund won the 1,500-meter run with a time of 5:09.01; Kristen Harris won the pole vault (10-6) and the 400-meter hurdles (1:09.31); and the distance medley relay placed first in 13:58.15 (Hannah Holmes, Sarah Hagan, Bailey Clark, Brielle Lund).
