The Tabor College track and field team kicked off the outdoor season at the Southwestern Invitational Thursday.
The Bluejays turned in a number of top-10 finishes to highlight the outing.
Alyssa Windle paced the women?s team by placing third in the discus (132-3). She was sixth in the shot put (42-23?4) and ninth in the hammer throw (129-10).
Ashton Kroeker finished fifth in the triple jump (35-5), and eighth in the high jump (4-113?4).
Amy Horner was sixth in the triple jump (35-1?4) and ninth in the 400 hurdles (1:11.81), while Aaliyah Carter was seventh in the 100 (12.49) and ninth in the 200 (26.51).
The 4×100 relay placed sixth (50.23), while the 4×400 finished eighth (4:20.59)
Meanwhile, Robert Phillips led the men?s team by placing third in the shot put (47-53?4).
Daniel Quiring was fifth in that event (43-111?4).
Daniel Quiring was sixth in the hammer throw (138-11), while Austin Kurtz was seventh in the javelin (166-5).
Cole Younger placed ninth in the 100 (11.11), while Tyler Parrish finished ninth in the 800 (1:58.81) and 10th in the 1500 (4:13.58).
Johnny Loera was 10th in the shot put (42-51?4).
Coming?Tabor will participate in the Emporia State Open March 26.
