TC tennis teams get first KCAC wins

Tabor College tennis teams picked up their first conference wins last week. The men defeated South?western and move to 1-3 in KCAC play, 2-7 overall. The Tabor women defeated Bethany and are 1-3, 4-5.
Bethany?The Tabor women hosted Bethany Saturday and won, 5-4.

The Bluejays took four singles matches:?Becky Faber (6-4, 2-6, 6-4), Krista Schmidt (6-4, 7-5), Kiana Fujioka (6-3, 6-3) and Yvonne Nachtigal (6-1, 6-0). Celeste Worthy lost at No. 2 (4-6, 6-4, 3-6), and Karly Lindroth-Yates at No. 3 (6-2, 6-2). Worthy and Fujioka won in doubles, 8-4. Faber and Lindroth-Yates lost, 8-5; and Schmidt and Nachtigal fell, 8-6.
Ottawa?Tabor dropped two at Ottawa Thursday.
The men lost 9-0. In doubles, Kelyn Vix and Tyler Dort lost, 8-4; and Luis Navarrete and Harry Faber and Darian Flores and Jared Friesen dropped their matches, 8-3.

In singles, Vix lost 6-2, 6-2; Dort lost 6-3, 6-2; Navar?rete was defeated 6-1, 6-1; Faber fell 6-2, 6-4; Flores lost 7-5, 6-1; and Friesen fell 6-4, 1-6, 3-10.
The women lost, 5-4. Three Tabor wins came in singles: Becky Faber won 6-1, 6-2; Celeste Worthy won 6-3, 6-2, and Kiana Fujioka won 6-2, 6-2. Anna Friesen lost, 6-4, 6-1; Krista Schmidt fell, 6-0, 6-2; and Karly Lindroth-Yates lost, 6-4, 6-1.
Friesen and Worthy won, 8-6, in No. 2 doubles. Tabor lost the other two matches in tie?breakers: Faber and Lind?roth-Yates, 9-8 (7-4), and Schmidt and Fujioka, 9-8 (7-3).

Southwestern?Tabor split with the Mound?builders Tuesday.

In singles, Vix and Dort won, 8-3, and Flores and Friesen won, 8-2. Faber and Navarrete lost, 8-6.
Tabor lost to South?western, 7-2. The Bluejays picked up both wins in singles. Anna Friesen won 6-1, 6-4; and Celeste Worthy won by default, 6-3.
