TC tennis has mixed week

The Tabor tennis teams had mixed success last week, with the men going 1-2 and the women 2-1.

Both the Tabor men and women lost to Oklahoma Baptist last Saturday.

?OBU has very strong teams on both sides, stronger than what we will see in our conference,? coach Michael Hagen said ?They are solid all around.”

The Tabor men defeated John Brown, 8-1, Saturday while the women, 8-1.

“Saturday was about battling the cold and wind,? Hagen said. ?The temperature was around 40 degrees, which made it hard for the kids to focus.?

The Bluejays split against Okahoma Wesleyan, with the men losing, 5-4, and the women winning, 6-3.

?Friday was very good competition on both sides,? Hagen said. ?The men’s and women’s matches were very close. It was fun to watch us battle with Oklahoma Wesleyan.

?Intense close matches like this really are good practice for our conference season.?

Coming?-The Bluejays will play Bethany College on the road Tuesday, March 29.
