TC tennis faces three KCAC opponents

The Tabor College tennis teams faced three conference opponents last week.

The Bluejays started the week by sweeping Friends Monday.

Despite fielding just five competitors, the Tabor men earned their first conference win, defeating the Falcons, 5-4. The women, meanwhile, swept the Falcons, 9-0.

Tabor was then swept by McPherson Thursday. The men lost, 9-0. The women lost, 7-2. Jessica Emoto defeated 14th-ranked Brittany Zipf in No. 1 singles. Kiana Fujioka and Celeste Worthy earned Tabor’s second win in No. 3 doubles.

Tabor hosted Ottawa Saturday on senior day.

The men lost, 5-4, including two three-set losses. The women won, 7-2, securing at least a fourth-place finish in the conference.

Coming—Tabor will play at Oklahoma Wesleyan today at 3 p.m. and will host Bethel Saturday at noon in the regular-season finale.
