TC tennis concludes regular season

The Bluejays defeated Bethel, 6-3, to clinch third place in the KCAC regular-season standings.The Tabor College tennis teams concluded the regular season last week with a sweep of both Bethel and Oklahoma Wesleyan.

Bethel—The Bluejays hosted the Threshers Saturday in the regular-season finale.

The men won, 6-3, to finish sixth in the conference standings with a 3-5 record, 4-12 overall.

In a battle for third place in the standings, the women won, 6-3, finishing third in the KCAC with a 6-2 record, 9-5 overall, behind McPherson (7-0, 8-2) and Southwestern (7-1, 16-4) and ahead of Bethel (5-3, 6-7).

Oklahoma Wesleyan—Tabor earned two wins on the road Wednesday.

The men earned their second KCAC win, 6-2, sweeping all three doubles matches, including a win by default, and winning their top three singles matches.

The women won, 9-0, by forfeit. Lindsey Stroud defeated the Eagles’ sole competitor in an exhibition match, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5).

Coming—The Bluejay women will be one of four teams to compete in the KCAC tournament in Topeka this week. The Bluejays will face Southwestern in the semifinals Friday. The finals are scheduled for Saturday at 9 a.m.
