The Tabor men?s soccer team continued its winning streak Saturday, while the women dropped another match to Doane College.
The men started strong against Doane, putting two goals on the board in the first half. Robert Masson scored the first one at 9:26 with an assist from David Simmet. Zane Klein scored the second goal at 40:10 with an assist from Marian Saar.
Tabor was scoreless in the second half, allowing Doane?s Aaron Carman to score a goal at 70:39. But the Bluejays held on for the 2-1 win to give them a 3-1 season record. Ben Clark had four saves against Doane in Tabor?s victory. Masson led the team with five shots at the goal.
Doane College dominated the women?s game from the beginning with two goals in the first half, both by Courtney Richards. She scored the first goal at 18:15 and the second at 19:20.
Kasey Hoppes scored another goal at 45:37 to make it 3-0 and Kambrey Davis scored at 74:57.
Jessica Renzelman enabled Tabor (1-3) to avoid the shutout when she scored at 81:34 making the score 4-1. Kylee Cross recorded 10 saves as Tabor?s goal keeper.
Coming?The Bluejays were scheduled to host Southwestern Christian University Tuesday. They play at Avila University on Friday.
