The Bluejays used nine hits to gain a 7-1 victory in Game 1.
Tabor had scored four runs before Sterling got on the board in the sixth inning. The Bluejays polished the game with three runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Tabor followed with a 6-3 victory in Game 2.
Sterling held a 2-0 lead after five innings of play and added a third run in the top of the sixth before Tabor claimed the lead and the win with six runs in the bottom half of the inning.
Sterling had nine hits; Tabor had five.
University of Saint Mary?The Bluejays dropped two games to the Spires Wednesday.
Tabor lost Game 1, 5-1.
The Bluejays scored first in the second inning, but the Spires took the lead with two runs in the third inning and added two in the fifth and one in the sixth for the win.
Tabor managed one more hit than Saint Mary (7-6), but also had one more error (2-1). Lauren Massey was 2-for-3, including a double, and had one RBI. Sarah Massey also hit a double. Tabor stranded eight on base.
Marilee Burge (8-11) absorbed the pitching loss. Over six innings, she gave up six hits and five runs (all earned). She walked no one and struck out two.
Tabor managed only two hits in Game 2 and lost, 6-0.
The Spires took an early lead with a three-run first inning and held Tabor scoreless the rest of the way.
Chelsea Nutt and Brittney Dymnioski were each 1-for-3.
Jaycie Morris (2-3) took the pitching loss. Over four innings, she gave up six hits and five runs (four earned) while walking one batter and striking out three.
Coming?Tabor (8-8, 17-20)?was scheduled to play at McPherson (6-10, 13-20) Tuesday in the last conference matchup of the regular season. The Bluejays travel to MidAmerica Nazarene today for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. and will host Haskell Indian Nations Friday at 5 p.m. in the regular-season finale.
