The Tabor College softball team played just one of two scheduled games at Kansas Wesleyan Tuesday because of weather.
The Bluejays lost Game 1, 1-0. Each team recorded two hits in the contest.
After five scoreless innings, the Coyotes scratched a run across in the bottom of the sixth inning. Tabor stranded six on base in the game.
Brianna Quiroz and Madison Byrd were each 1-for-2 at-bat.
Byrd (13-4) sustained the pitching loss. In six innings, she surrendered two hits and one earned run. She walked no one and struck out six batters.
Game 2 was postponed because of weather and will be played Sunday at 4 p.m. in Salina.
Saturday’s games with Oklahoma Wesleyan were postponed until April 29.
Coming—Tabor (3-2, 16-12) will play at Bethel (3-1, 12-9) today at 2 p.m. The Bluejays will host York (0-4, 6-20) Saturday in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m., then will return to Salina Sunday for Game 2.
