TC softball 2-2 in KCAC?last week

After taking two from Bethany earlier in the week, the Tabor College softball team lost both games of a doubleheader at Ottawa Saturday.
The Bluejays lost Game 1, 2-1. After five scoreless innings, Ottawa scored two in the sixth. Tabor mustered one run in the top of the seventh on an RBI single by Madison Tracy.
Lauren Massey and Alysha Carter were both 1-for-1. Brittney Dymnioski and Araselly Vargas hit doubles.

Marilee Burge (8-10)?took the pitching loss. Over six innings, she allowed six hits and two runs (none earned) while walking two batters and striking out six.
Tabor lost Game 2, 6-3.
Ottawa had scored five runs before Tabor responded with two in the top of the fourth inning. Ottawa added a run in the bottom of the inning, and Tabor scored one final run in the sixth on an RBI double by Lauren Massey.

Tracy was 3-for-4 at-bat.
Lauren Massey (5-7) absorbed the pitching loss. In 12?3 innings, she gave up five hits and four runs (all earned). She neither walked nor struck out any batters.
Bethany?Tabor swept a doubleheader Tuesday against a Swede team receiving votes in the Coaches? Top 25 poll. The wins put Tabor two games ahead of .500 in the conference.

The Bluejays won Game 1, 5-2.

Tabor never trailed, putting up two runs in the bottom of the first inning and adding two more in the second to take a 4-1 lead. Bethany scored its final run in the third inning, and Tabor polished the game with a one-run sixth inning.
Madison Tracy hit two doubles and was 2-for-3 at-bat. Brittney Dymnioski was 2-for-3 with one RBI, and Araselly Vargas was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Tabor completed the sweep with a 10-7 victory in Game 2.

Bethany had scored three runs before Tabor used a five-run second inning to claim the lead for good.

The Bluejays added three runs in the third inning and concluded their scoring with a two-run sixth inning. Each team managed 10 hits in the game.
Yasnaya Susoeff was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Megan Taylor was 2-for-3 with one RBI. Araselly Vargas was 2-for-4, both home runs, and had three RBIs. Sarah Massey hit a double.

Lauren Massey was winning pitcher. Over seven innings, she gave up 10 hits and seven runs (five earned). She threw six strikeouts and walked three batters.
Coming?Tabor (6-6, 15-18) will play at University of Saint Mary (6-6, 22-17) today and will host Sterling (2-10, 7-26)?Saturday at 1 p.m.
