TC soccer teams gain KCAC wins

 Philipp Wahl (23)?gains possession of the ball in the first half of Tabor?s homecoming contest against University of Saint Mary Saturday. The Bluejays won, 5-2. Both Tabor soccer teams recorded homecoming victories over University of Saint Mary Saturday.

The Tabor women earned their first conference victory by a 2-1 score.

Tabor led 1-0 at halftime after a Jessica Renzelman goal. Renzelman?named KCAC Offensive Player of the Week?scored Tabor?s second goal before USM got on the board at the 79:23 mark.

Tabor outshot USM 11-5.

Goalkeeper Amber Mayer had three saves.

The Tabor men also earned their first KCAC victory with a 5-2 win.

USM enjoyed a 1-0 lead at halftime, but Tabor outscored the Spires 5-1 in the second half.

Scoring goals for the Bluejays were?Adam Morley (assist Marian Saar), KCAC Offensive Player of the Week, Alberto Checa (assist Giovanni Martinez), Bransyn Felty and Philipp Wahl (assist Saar).

Tabor outshot USM 27-10.

Goalkeeper Antoine Williams had five saves.

With the win, Tabor is 7-3 overall.

Coming?Tabor was scheduled to play at Sterling today and will host South?western Friday. The women will play at 5 p.m. followed by the men at 7:30 p.m.
