Two female athletes on the Tabor College indoor track team have qualified to compete in the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championship March 5-7 in Johnson City, Tenn.
Senior thrower Breanna Wray, of Walsh, Colo., threw the indoor 20-pound weight 49 feet, 9 inches and the indoor shot put 40-11 to qualify in both events at an indoor competition at Pittsburg State Friday, February 13.
Wray first qualified in the weight throw Jan. 31 at Doane and bettered her own season best mark at PSU. Wray?s qualification sets the stage for her second consecutive trip to indoor nationals.
Kelly Kopper, of Cimarron, qualified with a time of 1:30.64 in the 600 meter run. She achieved the qualifying mark Feb. 5 at Central Missouri State University. This will be Kopper?s first trip to indoor nationals.
The Bluejays? final meet of the regular season is Saturday at Kansas State University.
