TC men’s soccer season concludes

The Tabor College men’s soccer season came to a close Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the KCAC tournament.

The No. 7 seed in the tournament with a 4-6-1 conference record, 6-10-1 overall, Tabor faced No. 2 Kansas Wesleyan (9-1-1, 12-5-1) and lost, 1-0.

The Coyotes scored the game’s only goal in the sixth minute of play.

Kansas Wesleyan held a 12-10 advantage in shots, and a 4-3 margin in shots on goal.

Goalkeeper Derrick Eszlinger had three saves.

The Bluejays conclude the season with an overall record of 6-11-1.

Southwestern—Tabor concluded the regular season with a 2-0 win Tuesday, finishing seventh in the KCAC with a 4-6-1 record. Tabor was picked sixth in the coaches’ preseason poll.

Agustin Ariza scored via a header in the 19th minute of play off an assist by Pedro Silva and Oscar Moyano.

Tabor held a 1-0 lead at halftime, and the Bluejays extended their lead when Bransyn Felty scored in the 57th minute off an assist by Jorge Perez.

The Bluejays outshot Southwestern, 17-9, and held a 9-5 advantage in shots on goal.

Goalkeeper Bryson Henry had four saves.
