TC Men’s soccer finishes second

The Tabor men?s soccer team finished its season as the KCAC tournament runners-up.
The third-seeded Bluejays (5-2-2, 13-5-2) lost 2-0 to No. 1 Kansas Wesleyan (7-0-2, 12-4-2) in the championship Saturday at Hummer Sports Park in Topeka.
Kansas Wesleyan scored one goal in each half to claim the victory and advance to the opening round of the NAIA National Championship.
Tabor managed six shots on goal, while Kansas Wesleyan had eight. Bluejay goalkeeper Antoine Williams had six saves.
To get to the championship, Tabor opened with a quarterfinal 5-0 victory over No. 6 Sterling (4-4-1, 7-9-1)?Nov. 8.
That pitted Tabor against No. 2 McPherson (7-2, 10-7)?in Friday?s semifinals The Bluejays won that game, 3-0, scoring all three goals in the second half.
Michel Matias scored Tabor?s first and third goals and assisted Philipp Wahl in scoring the second goal.
Williams had nine saves.
Tabor concludes the season with a 13-6-2 record.
