TC men split two non-KCAC games

After Wednesday’s overtime loss, the Tabor College men’s soccer team responded with a 1-0 victory over Dordt Saturday.

Agustin Ariza scored the game’s only goal in the 35th minute of play, and Tabor held onto its lead the rest of the way.

Tabor outshot Dordt, 31-14, and held a 19-10 advantage in shots on goal.

Goalkeepers Derrick Eszlinger and Tom Gaskell each recorded five saves.

USAO—Tabor suffered a heartbreaking, 4-3, loss to the 16th-ranked Drovers in overtime Wednesday.

Bransyn Felty put the Bluejays on the board early with a goal in transition off an assist by Pedro Silva in the fifth minute.

USAO tied the game with a goal in the 24th minute, but Silva assisted Felty with a second goal in the 28th minute to give Tabor a 2-1 lead at intermission.

USAO tied the game in the 57th minute, but Tabor took a 3-2 lead in the 62nd minute when Silva scored off an assist by Drew Janzen.

The Drovers scored with just more than four minutes left in regulation to force overtime, then scored the game-winner in the 92nd minute of play.

USAO outshot Tabor, 22-10, including 12-5 in shots on goal.

Goalkeeper Tom Gaskell had eight saves.

Coming—Tabor (2-2) was scheduled to host Texas College Tuesday and will host Midland Sept. 21 at 7 p.m.
