TC men split games at Warrior Classic

The Tabor College men?s basketball team split two games at the Warrior Classic at Ster?ling Friday and Satur?day.

The Bluejays opened Friday with a 92-84 loss to seventh-ranked William Penn University.

Tabor trailed 43-36 at halftime on 33 percent shooting from the field. The Bluejays improved to 48 percent in the second half, but could not make up the deficit. Dewayne Biggs led Tabor with 22 points. Brent Jack?son added 14 and Marc Hopkinson 11.

Tabor followed Saturday with an 87-72 victory over Johnson and Wales Univer?sity. The Bluejays shot 50 percent from the field in the first half and enjoyed a 52-34 lead at intermission. Although Tabor?s shooting cooled to 39 percent in the second half, the Bluejays maintained a double-digit lead.

Jackson led Tabor with 17 total points. Biggs and Lance Carter each added 13, D?Marco Smith 11 and Robbie Samuel 10.

Coming?Tabor was scheduled to play at Wash?burn Tuesday and will participate in the Hastings College Classic Friday and Saturday.
