The Tabor College women?s soccer team lost a 1-0 contest to 19th-ranked University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Wednesday.
USAO scored the game?s only goal in the 24th minute. After a corner kick, Jordan Walters blocked the Drovers? first shot, but a second attempt less than two minutes later found the back of the net.
USAO out-shot Tabor 17-10, including 8-3 shots on goal. Ashtyn Stephens and Brenna Cooper each took three shots. Kaitlyn Wells, Stephens and Lillian Bear each recorded one shot on goal. Goalkeeper Ruby-Anne Fines had six saves.
Coming?Tabor (2-4) was scheduled to play at Saint Gregory?s Tuesday. The Bluejays will kick off KCAC play by welcoming Southwestern to Hillsboro Sept. 30.
