Tabor women lose to OWU, Southwestern

The Tabor College women dropped two tightly contested soccer matches last week on the home field.

Oklahoma Wesleyan, ranked 12th in the NAIA, came to Hillsboro undefeated in the KCAC and a 13-1-1 record overall. OWU left for home with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Tabor.

On Saturday, the Univer­sity of Saint Mary came to town and escaped with a 2-1 win in overtime.

After a scoreless first half, Southwestern scored on a goal by Sierra Paul with an assist from Maria Munoz during the 49th minute.

Munoz, in turn, scored the second goal of the match with an assist from teammate Taylor Holstrom during the 66th minute.

Tabor ended the potential shutout when Jordan Walters scored in the 86th minutes with an assist from Taylor Holstrom. With the two losses, Tabor slips to 2-7-1 in the KCAC and 5-10-1 for the season.

Coming—The Bluejays were scheduled to complete their regular season schedule Oct. 31 against Univer­sity of Saint Mary (3-5-2 KCAC) at Leaven­worth.
