Tabor volleyball sweeps Mid-America Christian at home

The Tabor College volleyball team swept Mid-America Chris?tian University in a home match Saturday.

The Bluejays defeated the Evangels from Oklahoma City, 25-16, 25-14, 25-17, to improve their season record to 3-2. The visitors dropped to 1-3.

Tina Frick and Cortney Janzen each registered nine kills. Frick had 16 attack hits and Janzen 14. Jessie Vogts added seven kills on 15 attempts.

Setter Hollister Wolf recorded 22 assists. Hollie Tabor had a team-leading 13 successful serve receives and Amy Jo Maphet had 10.

Coming?Tabor opens conference play Wednesday with a match at Ottawa starting at 7 p.m.

On Friday, Tabor will be at Evangel University in Springfield, Mo., to face Mid-America Christian again at 5 p.m. The Bluejays will take on the host school at 11 a.m. Satur?day.

Tabor returns to KCAC action Tuesday when the Bluejays host the University of St. Mary in Hillsboro starting at 7 p.m.
