Tabor volleyball season ends in KCAC semifinals

The No. 4-seeded Tabor College volleyball team ended its season in a loss to No. 1 seeded Friends, 18-25, 16-25, 21-25, in the semifinals of the 2010 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference volleyball tournament Friday in Wichita.

Tina Frick led Tabor with 10 kills. Jessie Vogts had nine. Hollister Wolf had 26 assists. Janzen led with six blocks, and Frick had four total blocks. Hollie Tabor finished with 10 digs. Erin Dick had seven.

The Bluejays downed No. 5 seeded McPherson, 16-25, 25-21, 25-19, 27-25 in the tournament quarterfinals Tuesday night in Hillsboro.

Frick led the Bluejays with 21 kills, while Vogts racked up 14 kills. Wolf had 50 assists in the match.

Tabor had 29 digs. Wolf registered 17, Dixon had 13 assists.

Tabor ended the season 12-6 in KCAC play, 16-15 overall.
