The Tabor men?s and women?s tennis teams both absorbed losses to Emporia State University March 7 on their home courts.

?It was really windy, and that definitely impacted people?s games all around,? said head coach Chad Gayer. ?But I thought we handled the wind okay.

?Emporia State?s a really talented team and they get a lot of the local talent, Kansas kids who can handle the wind, which makes it tougher. All in all, they had a deeper line-up than us.?

The men fell, 1-8, and the women lost, 0-9.

?We had some really close matches, matches we maybe could have won if it wasn?t as windy,? Gayer said, ?but you can?t say that. You just have to go out there and see what happens.?

The Bluejays were scheduled to play at the Bethel College Invitational Saturday, but the meet was cancelled.

Coming? The Bluejays are slated to play Concordia in Salina Friday, March 23, at 3 p.m. They are scheduled to host Missouri Baptist College at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 24, before playing Baker University at 3 p.m. that afternoon.
