Tabor teams with ex-NFLer for skills combine

The Tabor College football coaching staff and former NFL player Darnell Walker for a day of testing and fundamental development at the inaugural Bluejays Senior Combine and Skills Camp from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Saturday, July 19 at the Tabor College football field.

The non-contact camp is for players entering grades 7 through 12. The camp is designed to test and record 2009 graduates in areas such as height, weight, 40, and the pro aglity.

The camp will also introduce drills and give instruction to stimulate skill development at desired position.

?Ultimately the ones who do the extra, such as attending fundamental skills camps are the ones who improve their game,? said head football coach Mike Gottsch.

?There is no secret to why certain high school programs are stronger than others; their players look forward to developing their skills during the off-season through camps such as these.?
