Tabor swimmers compete at Kansas

The Tabor College swim teams competed at the University of Kansas Quadrangular Saturday.

Women?Tabor lost all to all three of its opponents: Kansas (130-55), William Jewell (217-27) and Morningside (154-65).

The Bluejay women turned in four top-five performances.

Aleya Hill led the way by placing fourth in the 500 freestyle, bettering her own school record with a time of 5:47.33.

Angela Smith was fifth in both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:20.60) and the 200 breaststroke (2:51.41), while Kelly Smith was fifth in the 50 freestyle (27.49).

Men?Tabor lost to both of its opponents: William Jewell (222-15) and Morningside (140-56).

Andrew Wehrman paved the way by finishing fourth in the 1,000-yard freestyle (personal-best 11:19.39) and fifth in the 500 freestyle (5:23.55).

Tristan Ward was fifth in the 50 freestyle (23.58).

Coming?Tabor will travel to the St. Gregory?s Invitational Feb. 12-13.
