Tabor College is organizing a showcase for several sports teams Saturday, April 30, at the college?s sports complex.
A lineup of games and exhibitions will feature baseball, football, soccer and volleyball.
?This is a great opportunity to support these student-athletes,? said Rusty Allen, vice president of athletics. The public is encouraged to attend.
The men?s soccer team will scrimmage Central Christian starting at 10 a.m. at Joel H. Wiens Stadium.
A pep rally featuring baseball coach Mark Standiford will take place at the baseball field at 12:15 p.m.
The team will take on conference rival Sterling for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
Tabor?s baseball team is 35-8 overall and 14-4 in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
The Bluejays are one game out of first place and ranked No. 23 in the latest NAIA poll.
?The doubleheader with Sterling is the last scheduled conference doubleheader of the regular season,? Allen said, ?and could decide the regular season conference champion,?
The spring football scrimmage will begin at 3 p.m. in Joel H. Wiens Stadium.
The day will close with a Tabor volleyball alumni scrimmage at 3:30 p.m. in the Tabor College Gymnasium.?
