Tabor Softball matches 2009 win total

Starting the week with a 15-10 win in the first game of a double header at Haskell in Lawrence Tuesday, the Tabor College softball team dropped three straight to end the week.

In the win, freshman pitcher Roxanne Rodriguez pitched 7.2 innings giving up three earned runs while striking out nine.

Aubrey Whitehorn was 3-for-5 with four RBI.

The Bluejays fell in the second game at Haskell 3-1.

Tabor ended the week dropping a doubleheader against Southwestern in Winfield Saturday. The Bluejays fell in the first game 4-1 and the second game 6-2.

Continuing to struggle after a 5-1 start, Tabor has dropped 13 of its last 14 and is 0-4 in the KCAC.

Tabor hosted Hillsdale Free Will Baptist Baptist College in a double header on Monday.

Wednesday Tabor returns to KCAC action. TC will host McPherson who has yet to face a KCAC opponent. The Bulldogs are 5-5-1 overall.

Traveling to Tulsa, Okla., on Friday and Saturday, Tabor will play five games in two days at the Boarder Wars Tournament hosted by Rogers State University.

The Bluejays will open Friday against Evangel University at 11 a.m. At 1 p.m. Tabor plays Culver Stackton College. They will finish the day at 6 p.m. against Rogers State University.

Starting Saturday as they finished Friday, Tabor will play a rematch with Rogers State at 3 p.m.

The Bluejays will wrap up the weekend against Bacone University at 6 p.m.

Tabor has matched its win total from 2009 with a 6-14 record.
