Tabor soccer posts 1-3 record for week

The Tabor soccer teams were a combined 1-3 in conference action last week against Kansas Wesleyan and Friends.

Friends?Tabor split its games Friday at Friends.

The women lost 4-1 in a game where all goals were scored before halftime.

Tabor scored first with a Jessica Renzelman goal, but it was all Friends after that. For the game, Tabor outshot Friends, 10-8. Goalkeeper Amber Mayer had three saves.

The men defeated Friends, 3-2, in double overtime. Both teams scored two goals in the second half to even the score at the end of regulation. Tabor?s goals came from Zane Klein and Marian Saar. Bransyn Felty knocked in the winning goal.

Friends outshot Tabor, 14-9. Bluejay goalkeeper Antoine Williams had seven saves.

Kansas Wesleyan?The Bluejays were swept by the Coyotes Wednesday.

The women dropped a 2-0 decision to a Coyote team that is receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches? Top 25 poll.

Kansas Wesleyan scored one goal in each half and outshot Tabor 21-6. Tabor goalkeeper Carly Rowan had 11 saves.

The men lost 2-1. All three of the goals were scored in the first half. Tabor?s came courtesy of Marian Saar at the 38:52 mark.

Tabor outshot the Coyotes, 17-11. Goalkeeper Antoine Williams had five saves.

Coming?Tabor will play at McPherson today. The men will start at 4 p.m., with the women to follow at 6:30 p.m. The Bluejays will host Bethany Saturday. The women?s game is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the men will play at 3:30 p.m.
