Tabor soccer goes 3-1 for the week

Tabor College?s soccer teams were a combined 3-1 last week in conference games against Southwestern and Sterling.

Southwestern?Both Tabor teams defeated Southwestern Friday.

Tabor women won, 1-0.

Amy Vaughan, assisted by Ashtyn Stephens, scored the Bluejays? winning goal at the 64:44 mark.

Southwestern outshot Tabor, 10-4.

Goalkeeper Amber Mayer had six saves.

Tabor men defeated Southwestern, 2-0.

Bransyn Felty scored both goals for the Bluejays, the second with an assist from Arturo Golembiewski.

Tabor outshot Southwestern, 26-6.

Goalkeeper Antoine Williams had two saves.

Sterling?Tabor soccer teams split their games at Sterling Wednesday.

The women dropped a 2-0 loss to the Warriors.

Sterling scored both goals in the first half and outshot Tabor 17-10.

Goalkeeper Carly Rowan had six saves.

The Bluejay men, meanwhile, defeated Sterling, 4-1.

With goals from Adam Morley (assist Robert Escobar) and Marian Saar (assist Philipp Wahl), Tabor took a 2-1 lead into the half.

The Bluejays added two goals in the second half by Alberto Checa (assist Wahl) and Zane Klein (assist Michel Matias).

Tabor outshot Sterling, 15-12.

Goalkeeper Antoine Williams had four saves.

Coming?Tabor will host Kansas Wesleyan Wednesday, with women?s action at 5 p.m. and the men to follow at 7:30 p.m. The Bluejays travel to Friends Friday. The women will play at 6 p.m., with the men to follow at 8:30 p.m.
