Tabor soccer combines for 3 losses, 1 tie

Matching up with Bethany and McPherson, the Tabor soccer teams earned a combined three losses and one tie for the week.

Bethany?The Bluejay women started Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 loss to the Swedes. Bethany led 1-0 at halftime, then solidified the win with three goals in the second half.

Tabor goalkeeper Amber Mayer had six saves.

The Tabor men faced a double overtime situation for the third consecutive game.

Bethany led 1-0 at halftime, but Alberto Checa evened the score with a goal at the 75:11 mark.

Neither team scored again through two overtime periods, and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Goalkeeper Antoine Williams had seven saves.

McPherson?The Tabor teams both endured losses at McPherson Wednesday night.

After leading 1-0 at halftime, the Bluejay women were outscored 3-0 in the second half for a 3-1 defeat.

Jessica Renzelman scored Tabor?s goal. Goalkeeper Carly Rowan recorded nine saves.

The Tabor men lost 2-1 in double overtime.

McPherson led 1-0 at halftime, but Bransyn Felty evened the score with a goal at the 47:21 mark.

McPherson scored the winning goal in the second overtime period.

Goalkeeper Antoine Williams had six saves.

Coming?Tabor will travel to Ottawa Saturday, where the women will play at 6 p.m., followed by the men at 8:30 p.m. The Blue?jays host Bethel Tuesday. The women will play at 5 p.m. and men at 7:30 p.m.
