Four Bluejays represented Tabor College at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships last week in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Amy Horner, a junior, turned in Tabor’s highest performance. She placed 13th in the triple jump with a leap of 36 feet, 73⁄4 inches, attained on her last attempt.
Junior Alyssa Windle placed 15th in the shot put (42-111⁄2), having entered ranked 22nd.
Freshman Aaliyah Carter finished 26th in the 100 preliminaries (12.40 seconds).
Meanwhile, representing the Bluejay men, freshman Austin Kurtz finished 15th in the javelin with a throw of 180-1.
“All four athletes competed very well and look forward to returning next spring,” coach Dave Kroeker said. “Making it to nationals is quite an accomplishment in and of itself.”
