Tabor preps for KCAC meet at Southwestern

Foul weather wiped out most of the Southwestern Relays Saturday in Winfield, but the Tabor College track teams proved some of their progress before lightning sent all comers packing.

The women’s 4×100 relay posted a season-best time of 49.73 seconds, placing five hundredths ahead of the closest chasers?Baker?and more than two full seconds ahead of KCAC rival Southwestern.

Tasia Johnson won both the long jump (17-111⁄2) and the triple jump (36-1) events.

Coming?Tabor next competes at the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference meet, which will be hosted at McPherson Friday and Saturday.
