Tabor men?s soccer defeats Cavaliers

The Tabor College men?s soccer team wrapped up non-conference play with a 4-3 victory at Saint Gregory?s Tuesday.

The Cavaliers scored in the fourth minute, but Tabor answered less than five minutes later. Manuel Miranda-Cortez headed the ball for the goal off an assist by Niklas Flechsig.

The Bluejays scored again in the 11th minute. Agustin Ariza found the back of the net off an assist by Bransyn Felty.

Saint Gregory?s evened the count with a goal in the 25th minute.

The Bluejays again took the lead when Felty scored in the 52nd minute, but once again, the Cavaliers answered.

Miranda-Cortez scored the winning goal off an assist from Oscar Moyano off a corner kick in the 73rd minute.

Tabor outshot Saint Gregory?s 21-9, including 7-6 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Bryson Henry had two saves.

Coming?Tabor (3-4) will host Southwestern (1-4-1) tonight at 7:30 p.m. to open KCAC play. Tabor will travel to the University of Saint Mary (3-5) Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. game.
