Tabor men fourth at Wild Winds cross-country meet

The Tabor men?s and women?s cross-country teams competed at the Wild Wind Festival hosted Saturday by Friends University.

Sophomore Joel Allen was the top finisher for the men, placing 13th in 27 minutes to help the team place fourth among nine teams.

Also competing were Garrett Daugherty (17th, 27:11), Nathan Vogel (30th, 28:17), Jacob Heil (28:41), Bret Mueller (39th, 28:53), Paul Williams (49th, 29:17) and Jonathan Gutierrez (81st, 34:54).

Brielle Lund led the Bluejay women by finishing third in 19:10. Following her were Hannah Holmes (12th, 20:49), Ashley Kemling (14th, 21:02) and Mackenzie King (23rd, 21:21).

Coming?The Bluejays are scheduled to compete at the Tabor Invitational Sept. 22 at Harvey County East Lake near Newton, with races beginning at 10:45 a.m.
