Tabor hires Unruh to lead softball program

Tabor College President Jules Glanzer announced that Suzanne Unruh, a former softball All-American at Cowley County Community College, has been named the new head coach of the Bluejays’ softball team.

?Coach Unruh brings a wealth of playing, coaching and recruiting experience to us,? said Vice President of Athletics Rusty Allen.

?Her work as an assistant at Cowley County speaks for itself in the form of five conference titles and four national tournament appearances.?We are excited for her commitment to excellence and to creating an environment that encourages players and coaches to grow in Christ.?

Unruh, a former Derby High School graduate, has spent the past seven seasons as the assistant softball coach at Cowley County Community College, home to one of the most premier junior college softball programs in the country.

?I am thrilled to become the new head softball coach at Tabor,? said Unruh. ? My goal is to bring Tabor softball into the upper level of the KCAC and compete for conference championships every year.?
