Tabor competes at Great Plains Invite

The Tabor College swim teams competed at the Great Plains Invitational Saturday.

Tabor earned the following top-five finishes.

Aleya Hill led the Bluejays by placing second in the 200 freestyle (2:04.38).

Six Bluejay events placed third: Kelly Smith in the 50 freestyle (25.82) and the 100 backstroke (1:06.77); Sarah Schulte in the 200 backstroke (2:42.69); Angela Smith in the 200 breaststroke (2:47.90); Kelly Smith, MacKenzie Bilbrey, Tessa Downs and Aleya Hill in the 200 freestyle relay (1:50.43); and Schulte, Bilbrey, Downs and Kianna Hinerman in the 200 medley relay (2:10.86).

Tabor earned three fourth-place finishes:

Angela Smith in the 100 breaststroke (1:16.40); Kelly Smith in the 100 freestyle (56.34); and Hill in the 500 freestyle (5:39.29).

Angela Smith was fifth in the 200 individual medley (2:26.24), while Bilbrey tied for fifth in the 100 backstroke (1:12.26).

Meanwhile, Evan Bell, Andrew Wehrman, Tristan Ward and Brett Magee led the Bluejay men by placing third in the 200 freestyle relay (1:35.07).

Bell was fourth in the 200 freestyle (1:50.03) and fifth in the 500 freestyle (5:07.89), while Wehrman finished fourth in the 500 freestyle (5:06.64).

Tristan Ward placed fifth in the 200 freestyle (1:50.24).
