Tabor athletes honored

Several Tabor College student-athletes were recognized for regional and national honors at its annual athletic banquet in May.

In addition, Ashley Malcom, Lymon, Colo. was named Tabor?s ?outstanding female athlete of the year? while Andrew Brubacher, Hillsboro, was named ?outstanding male athlete of the year.?

The ?outstanding scholar athletes of the year? were Emily Vogts, North Newton, and Lindsey Vogts, Moundridge.

Other honors included:?

  • NAIA All-Americans, women?s basketball: Emily Vogts, third team; Donya Anderson, honorable mention.

  • NAIA all-region volleyball: Staci Frick, Lindsey Vogts, first team.

  • Daktronics-NAIA scholar athletes: football, Jon Ramos, Ben Schmidt; men?s soccer, Sam Flaming,Trenton Voth; volleyball, Staci Frick, Ashley Malcom, Kelsi Suderman, Lindsey Vogts; cross country, Ashley Schmidt, Amber Wiens, Jeff Anenson; women?s basketball, Nicole Ellis, Emily Vogts; men?s basketball, Andrew Brubacher; baseball, Tyson Bauerle; softball, April Funk, Kalie George, Danielle Goossen; men?s tennis, Chris Adrian, Scott Adrian, Aaron Friesen, Shane Miller; track and field, Aftan Lambert, Ashley Malcom, Jeff Anenson, Trenton Voth, Brent Wichert.
