Hillsboro High School senior Callie Serene signed a letter of intent May 1 to play basketball next year at Friends University. The 5-foot, 7-inch shooting guard averaged 9.2 points per game and made better than 42 percent of her three-point shots for the 23-3 Trojans, who placed third at the Class 3A state tournament.
