Marion High?s ace pitcher from 2010, Marshall Ragland, will play baseball and attend NJCAA Divison II Hesston College.
According to Marion coach Tyler Mermis, Ragland will be looked at as a pitcher and in the outfield for the Larks.
As a senior, Ragland was a starting pitcher and first baseman for the 7-12 Warriors. Ragland picked up two wins in the regular season against 3A third place state finisher Hillsboro. The 13-8 score May 7 and 6-5 win April were the first Marion wins over the Trojans since 2005.
Ragland is the third senior from the 2010 Warriors to continue his baseball careers at the college level.
Brian Fruechting signed with Cloud Community College and Wil Case will play at Ottawa University.
