Jays split two games

The Tabor College women’s soccer team split two KCAC games last week. After defeating McPherson, Tabor suffered a 5-0 loss to Kansas Wesleyan Saturday.

The Coyotes built a 4-0 lead by halftime. Kansas Wesleyan outshot Tabor, 13-7, and held an 8-2 advantage in shots on goal.

Goalkeeper Ruby-Anne Fines had one save. Carly Rowan had two saves.

McPherson—Tabor earned a 2-1 win Wednesday.

The Bluejays scored both goals within a seven-minute time span. Dakota Spencer kicked in Tabor’s first goal in the 21st minute. Darrian Gonzalez scored the Bluejays’ second goal in the 28th minute.

The Bulldogs scored in the 43rd minute, concluding scoring for the game in the first half.

McPherson outshot Tabor, 15-12, including 9-6 in shots on goal. Goalkeeper Carly Rowan had eight saves.

Coming—Tabor (2-2, 6-5) will host Sterling (1-3, 5-6) tonight at 5 p.m. and will travel to York (0-4, 1-9) Saturday for a 1 p.m. game.
