Jays split two games

Central Methodist—Tabor suffered a 5-0 loss in its season-opener Wednesday.

After a scoreless first half, Central Methodist turned on the heat, scoring about 20 minutes into the second period, then striking again three minutes later.

The Eagles scored three goals in the final 7:44 of play, including two goals with less than two minutes remaining.

Central Methodist out-shot Tabor, 17-3, and held a 10-1 advantage in shots on goal. Pedro Silva recorded the Bluejays’ only shot on goal. Bryson Henry had three saves.

Coming—Tabor will travel to 16th-ranked Science and Arts tonight at 7 p.m.
