After a win over Texas College earlier in the week, the Tabor College women’s soccer team lost to Central Christian Saturday, 1-0.
The Tigers kicked in the winning goal in the 88th minute of play.
Tabor outshot Central Christian, 12-10, and held a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal. Dakota Spencer recorded four shots on goal for the game.
Goalkeeper Carly Rowan had three saves.
Texas—Tabor earned a 2-0 win Tuesday. After a scoreless first half, the Bluejays scored twice in the first 5:20 of play in the second half.
Darrian Gonzalez put Tabor on the board with a goal assisted by Courtney Yochum in the 47th minute of play.
Just more than three minutes later, Dakota Spencer kicked in Tabor’s second goal. That was more than enough offense, as Tabor outshot Texas, 20-9, including a 14-4 advantage in shots on goal.
Goalkeeper Ruby-Anne Fines had four saves.
Coming—Tabor (3-3) will travel to Southwestern Christian Saturday for a 2 p.m. game to conclude non-conference play.
