Jays fall to St. Gregory?s

The Tabor College women?s soccer team concluded non-conference play with a 3-2 loss at Saint Gregory?s Tuesday.

The Bluejays took the early lead when Nicole Stevenson sent the ball over the keeper?s head off an assist from Kaitlyn Wells in the 18th minute. But Saint Gregory?s tied it just more than two minutes later. The teams took a 1-1 tie into intermission.

Saint Gregory?s scored twice more in the second half to take a 3-1 lead.

Ashleigh Lara scored on a loose ball off a corner kick with 1:23 to play.

Saint Gregory?s outshot Tabor, 19-13, including 12-5 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Carly Rowan had nine saves.

Coming?Tabor (2-5) will kick off conference play at home against Southwestern (3-5) tonight at 5 p.m. Tabor will travel to the University of Saint Mary (5-3) Saturday for a 1 p.m. game.
